If the gauge starts at 1000 psi a weak loader valve may not register on the gauge. The usual way to test the system relief pressure is to dead end a gauge (for a short time) after the relief valve. The valve should open and squeal during the test.

Nov 17, 2011 · I live on a small farm in Australia and dont use it every day. It only has the problem occassionally. It is variable but it only drops for a few lifts about once every hour or so. In recent times the bucket has not tilted forward it is only the boom lift dropping that is the problem. When I tried what you said it did not have the problem.

If I want to back drag or scrape I have to raise the boom tilt down to the desired angle, then lower the bucket to the ground or pile of manure and apply pressure using the boom power down.
